The international Conference on Wireless Communications, Signal Processing and Networking (WiSPNET) technically sponsored by IEEE and IEEE ComSoc, MAS, will be held at Electronics & Communication Engineering Department, Sri Sivasubramaniya Nadar College of Engineering, Chennai-603110, India, from March 22 to 24, 2017, under the theme “Advancing Mobile and Wireless technologies towards the creation of smart world”.
WiSPNET, shall provide a new forum for the world-class researchers to gather and share their research achievements, ideas and progress that is required to solve the future challenges that the Information Communication field face.
In addition to a rich variety of regular technical sessions (Call for papers), the conference program will include plenary sessions and panel discussions featuring world-class speakers in the wireless technologies, invited special sessions covering the most recent topics under the above said conference theme.
Special Sessions/Workshops: The conference also invites experts in the field to submit proposals for special sessions and half-day workshops that explore new and emerging trends in wireless communications with focus on industry applications and discuss areas not covered in the cfp.
Tutorials: The conference also invites experts in the field to submit proposals for half-day tutorials of interest to the WiSPNET gathering.
Exhibits: The conference also encourages industries to exhibit their commercial products.
WiSPNET is an international forum that fosters to bring together wireless communications researchers from both academics and industry interested in the latest development and design of wireless communications, signal processing and networks.

Lajos Hanzo received his Masters degree in electronics in 1976 and his Doctorate in 1983 from the Technical University of Budapest. In 2010 he was awarded the university’s highest honour, namely the Honorary Doctorate "Doctor Honaris Causa". Since 1986 he has been with the University of Southampton, UK and in 2004 he was awarded the Doctor of Sciences (DSc) degree. During his 36-year career in telecommunications he has held various research and academic posts in Hungary, Germany and the UK. Since 1986 he has been a member of academic staff in the School of Electronics and Computer Science, University of Southampton, UK, where he currently holds the Chair in Telecommunications and he is head of the Communications Research Area. He is also a Chaired Professor at Tsinghua University, Beijing, China.
Lajos Hanzo has co-authored 20 John Wiley/IEEE Press books totalling about 10 000 pages on mobile radio communications, and published 1200+ research papers and book chapters at IEEE Xplore. He has also organised and chaired major IEEE conferences, such as WCNC’2006, WCNC’2009, VTC'2011, presented Tutorial/overview lectures at international conferences. He presented a number of named lectures and keynotes.
Lajos is also an IEEE Distinguished Lecturer of both the Communications Society and the Vehicular Society as well as a Fellow of both the IEEE and the IEE/IET, Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering (FREng). He is acting as a Governor of the IEEE VTS as well as of ComSoc. Lajos is the Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE Press. He has been awarded a number of distinctions, most recently the IEEE Wireless Technical Committee Achievement Award (2007), the IET Sir Monti Finniston Achievement Award across all disciplines of engineering (2008) and an Honorary Doctorate of the Technical University of Budapest (2010). His most recent paper awards are: WCNC'2007 in Hong Kong, ICC’2009 Dresden and ICC’2010 Cape Town.
Currently he heads an academic research team working on a range of research projects in the field of wireless multimedia communications aiming for flawless telepresence, supported by rich three-dimensional audio/video communications. Prior to joining academia, he was with Bell Communications Research (Bellcore) doing research in optical networks and communication systems. His current research interests include vehicular networks, sensor networks, computer networks, wireless networks and communications systems, ad hoc wireless networks, self-organizing networks, smart grid, Internet of Things, optical communications and networks, bioinformatics, robotics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and security. He has published about 300 technical papers in IEEE journals and conference proceedings. He is an inventor on 15 patents (12 US patents and 3 international patents). He is well-known for his contributions to vehicular networks, wireless communications and networks, and optical communications and networks. He is the author (with G. Ferrari) of the 2006 Wiley book entitled “Ad Hoc Wireless Networks: A Communication-Theoretic Perspective”. He is the founder and President of Virtual Traffic Lights (VTL), LLC, a CMU start-up that was launched in December 2010 for providing solutions to several key transportation problems related to safety and traffic information systems, using vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) and vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I) wireless communications paradigms. His work and inventions on VTL has been featured in more than 100 countries in different continents by CNN, New Scientist, Discovery Channel, GizMag, CBS, AUDI Technology Magazine, The Atlantic, Metro World News, Eyewitness News in Johannesburg, South Africa, many radio and TV channels, and Internet media. David Akopian is a tenured full professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department of the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), San Antonio, TX. Prior to joining UTSA, Akopian was a Senior Research Engineer and Specialist with Nokia Corporation from 1999 to 2003. His responsibilities were in the development of advanced location technologies integrated with mobile devices, exploiting both terrestrial and satellite signals in hybrid solutions.
Currently he leads Software Communications and Navigation Systems Laboratory and serves as International Officer for the College of Engineering at UTSA.
Akopian’s research interests are in human-machine interaction and guidance, including wireless communication, sensing, localization technologies and mobile applications. He co-chaired mobile technology conferences for ten consecutive years, and chairs 2017 conference “EI: Mobile Devices and Multimedia: Enabling Technologies, Algorithms, and Applications”. His research has been supported by the National Science Foundation, National Institutes of Health, USAF, US Navy, Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, CPRIT-TX, and SALSI, etc.
Akopian’s research resulted in an extensive number of publications and inventions, including more than thirty issued and pending patents, several book chapters, several edited proceedings, more than 200 journal and conference papers. Vishal Sharma is an Engineering Manager at Intel, Bangalore. He has been involved in the development of Semiconductor chips throughout his career, with focus on Physical Design, Layout Verification, Fullchip Tapeout and IP development of Mixed-Signal, Analog and Digital IPs. At Intel, Vishal is currently leading the Physical Integration, Methodology and Layout execution team responsible for development of digital IPs for Graphics, Display and Image Processing Unit (IPU) across multiple SoCs and products. Prior to this, he was leading the development and delivery of high-speed IOs and voltage regulator IPs in the Hard-IP team at Intel India. Vishal was the fullchip tapeout lead for Crestline (the Graphics and Memory-Controller Hubchip), which was part of the 4th generation Centrino platform for laptops; and this was the first fullchip tapeout done out of Mobility Chipset group at Intel India.
Vishal received his B.Tech (EE) from IIT, Kharagpur, India in 1997. He has more than 19 years of experience in the VLSI industry, with last 11 years at Intel. He has been part of more than 50 tapeouts, ranging from 180nm to 10nm process nodes of TSMC and Intel Fabs. He has been part of the evolution of the design cycle and design methodologies to tackle the complexities of the ever-shrinking process nodes driven by Moore’s Law. To ensure appropriate consideration of conflicts of interest during the review process, ComSoc prohibits changes to the list of authors once a paper has been submitted for review during review, revision, or (if accepted) final publication. The author list may be changed only prior to the submission deadline.
PLEASE NOTE: Accepted papers will be published in the IEEE WiSPNET 2017 Conference Proceedings and submitted to IEEE Xplore® as well as other Abstracting and Indexing (A&I) databases.To be published in the WiSPNET 2017 Conference Proceedings and to be eligible for publication in IEEE Xplore®, an author of an accepted paper should register for the conference and pay at the full (member or non-member) rate. Non-refundable registration fees must be paid prior to uploading the final IEEE formatted, publication-ready version of the paper.
Paper overlength charges of INR 1000 is applicable for each additional page in excess of five (5) up to a maximum of seven (7) for Indian authors.

Publication in Journal: Selected papers that receive high review scores will be reviewed by the conference committees and journal editorial board for possible publication in SCI indexed international journals, which will be indexed by EI (INSPEC, IET), Google Scholar, etc.

There are a limited number of patronages offered at each level. A contract and payment in full is required to secure a patronage package; advance payment is required for to be included in conference promotion efforts. Patrons must support the mission of the conference and be pre-approved by the Conference Patronage Chair. Any question of appropriateness of Patronages will be at the discretion of the Conference Patronage Chair.

Papers will be reviewed on the basis that they do not contain plagiarized material and have not been submitted to any other conference at the same time (double submission). These matters are viewed very seriously and the IEEE will take action against any author who has engaged in either practice.
Important Note: To be published in the IEEE WiSPNET 2017 Conference Proceedings and IEEE Xplore®, an author of an accepted paper is required to register for the conference at the FULL (IEEE member or non-member) author rate and must present the paper at the conference. Some papers might be presented as posters. Non-refundable registration fees must be paid prior to uploading the final IEEE-formatted publication-ready version of the paper along with any overlength charges for each camera-ready manuscript in excess of five (5) pages up to a maximum of seven (7). Accepted and presented papers will be published in the IEEE WiSPNET 2017 Conference Proceedings and submitted for inclusion in IEEE Xplore®.
At the time of submission, the authors are required to make sure that the PDF file and the Submission System registration page of a paper have the same list of authors. That is, please enter all authors in Submission System during the submission process. Failure to comply with this rule may lead to the withdrawal of your paper from the review process. All submissions should be written in English with a minimum and maximum paper length of four (4) and seven (7) printed pages (10-point font), respectively, including figures. Camera-ready versions of accepted papers exceeding five (5) pages will be allowed pending payment of overlength charges.

Revise your Paper
Please read the reviews of your paper and follow the reviewers’ recommendations for revising it and preparing the final version. When you are done with the revision, please print out your paper and carefully proof read it. All the details in the figure should be very succinct. Review formatting requirements can be found at:
Note: The camera ready paper should be prepared in proper formatting and should include all the recommendations of the reviewers’. Failing to comply with may result in removal of the paper from WiSPNET proceedings and will not be submitted to IEEE Xplore® even if the registration fee is paid. It is recommended to use a professional native English-speaking editor if the authors are not good in scholarly writing. Papers with less than excellent English will not be published even if technically perfect.

Reaching the Conference Venue (SSN) from different boarding points by Bus/Train
Participants arriving by Train (Egmore Station)
Participants travelling by train or bus can get down at Tambaram station and take any of the following Route nos. from Tambaram to reach SSN College of Engineering:

A 40 minutes drive makes you to reach the conference venue. The bus stop is SSN College.
Participants arriving by Train (Central Station) At the gate of Chennai Central Railway station, you can board a bus to Broadway. Normally all the buses entering the central station and stopping at the bay will go to Broadway bus stand. It takes 4-6 minutes to reach Broadway. From Broadway bus terminus, you can take any of the following route buses to Kelambakkam.

Participants who arrive by bus at Koyambedu Bus Terminus
Those who are coming from north Tamil Nadu by bus can use any of the routes given below.
At Koyambedu bus stand (CMBT) there are two systems – One is for moffusel bus and the other one for local bus.
From Koyembedu Moffusel bus Stand you can board the bus (Route no 119) to Kalppakkam/Mamallapuram, which goes via SSN College of Engineering.
For boarding local bus, you can look for one just outside the Koyembedu bus stand. You can board the bus (Route no 570 & 570s) to Kelambakkam. Both the buses cover the distance in about 1.30 hrs to 2 hrs depending on the traffic. From Kelambakkam, the participant can board any bus or share autos or trip vans going towards Thirupporur / Mamallapuram and get down at SSN college of Engineering
National and International Participants arriving by Air Route Participants can reach the venue by booking a prepaid taxi from Chennai airport (Domestic or International Terminal) to SSN College of Engineering which will cost around $20-25
